The move to hybrid has seen a significant shift in space allocation in the office and while group space used to be about 30% of the floor plate allocation, we are seeing it often being more than 50%. This shift completely changes the solutions that can be provided.

As more space gets shared, it is increasingly important to provide flexible options that can changed with the teams requirement and in addition encourage teams to want to be in the office as they feel well supported with choice. Adding another layer, people can be encouraged to take control of their experience and curate the space themselves, so true flexibility lies with agile solutions that can be easily fine tuned.

The Connect Modular Sofa by Muuto is a prime example of their modern approach, offering users the flexibility to customise the sofa to fit their specific needs with its various modules. Connect allows for customisation to suit specific needs with its sleek and sophisticated design, while the NaughtOne Lasso seating and table system enhances collaborative work environments with its flexibility and mobility, promoting creativity and teamwork.

Inspired by the serene views, Unison collaborated with Custance Associates to provide an enticing work environment with a broad selection of furniture solutions for the staff to meet and build connections.

A selection of low modular seating contrasting with high leaners allows for an organic flow throughout the space. Staff can engage using various seating options and zones suited to their personal preference. To achieve a soft casual feel, details of soft curved furniture, warm woods and textural elements were combined to execute an environment the client is proud of.

Key featured furniture to fulfil the clients’ expectations include, the Caterpillar Modular Seating by Derlot, the Rosie Leaners by Thinking Works paired with Babila Barstools by Pedrali promoting agility. The Capsule high back sofas and chairs by Casala provide additional acoustic support and a sense of solitude.

OCEANBOUND PLASTIC

HERMAN MILLER - MAKING THE BEST, BETTER FOR EARTH 

Herman Miller are leaders in product innovation with a core focus on preserving our Earth - A pivotal step involved the integration of ocean-bound plastic into the Aeron Chair, Asari Chair and Sayl Chair and other products and packaging solutions, driven by their founding membership in NextWave Plastic established in 2018. 

This work is estimated to divert up to 234 metric tons of plastic from the ocean annually, equal to preventing close to 400,000 milk jugs or up to 23 million plastic bottles from entering the ocean annually.
