David Allan Pesso (Industrial Design, Rochester Institute of Technology) works in Boca Raton, Florida, where he has served the healthcare market for over 18 years.
David’s work aims to solve the underlying challenges of healthcare, including quicker healing, infection control, durability, and physical and emotional comfort for patients, families, and caregivers.
He is also interested in aesthetic and emotional connections. “For me, it’s all about how materials and ideas come together and how people respond to those finished goods, be it a product, architecture, garments, or a public park,” he says.
“Good design is intuitive and communicates on a subliminal level. You get it and it gets you…it hooks you first emotionally, and then intellectually.”
